EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME
“Big things for little people”
Our educational programme is established to teach the children what they will use all life long. The crucial aim is to let the children try as many things as possible on their own, to experience them, to feel them with all their senses, and thus to remember them better. This is why we have topical rooms, facilities and corners. The children may grow plants, look after our animals, cook in the kitchen, make make ceramics, develop their musical skills, do sports outside or in the gym, work with digital education technologies, they also learn how to rest and relax, e.g. in our sauna.

We are a kindergarten that take care of your children and consider them ours. We are happy about their developments, smiles and hugs. We strive to find each one’s potential and develop it. Together we learn, play, conduct experiments, support each other, love each other, but together we also look for and set boundaries. And while we are developing children, we are developing also ourselves.
Well balanced development
We pay attention to the development of hearing, sight, graphomotor, language, pre-mathematical, pre-reading skills, but we also focus on emotional intelligence, social skills, fantasy and empathy. We do not forget we are in kindergarten, so we play and laugh together, sharing joy and sadness, and mainly we grow together.
Preschool preparation
Already from 4 years of age of a child, we focus on the targeted preparation for enrolment to the primary school. In the preparation, we focus on the development of all key competences to facilitate not only the start in the primary school but the entire school education for the children. Our logopaedist and special pedagogue work with pre-preschoolers and preschoolers all year long.
Extra activities
Beyond the standard programme, we offer an opportunity to enrol children to afternoon clubs directly in the Bambíno premises. Children may go to the school in nature twice a year, take part in a week long cycling / in-line / skate course led by external lecturers, or sleepover in Bambíno with friends and teachers.
English language
There are always a Czech and an English teachers in groups of children older than two years so the children listen to and use both languages. Thanks to that, the children not only learn these languages, they also build a positive relation to them and they are natural communication tools for them.
INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
We are an international kindergarten where various cultures, languages, habits and knowledges meet. For our children, we prepare a programme that allows them to get to know diversity, multiculturality, respect and inspiration. External experts including parents and relatives are involved in projects.
SITE
Bambíno has branches in Dejvice and Vinohrady in beautiful villas with a garden.
If allowed by the weather, children spend every day outdoors – in the garden or going for trips. The internal spaces of the villa offer various rooms adapted for specific and universal activities – like a ceramic room, a gym, a room with an interactive board, a music room, a sauna or a kitchen.

Garden
There is a large garden with verdure including big trees providing shade, monkey bars for everyday adventures, mist showers for summer refreshment, and a little hill for winter bobsleighing. In Dejvice, we breed Cameroon dwarf goats and we take care of them together with children. In Vinohrady, a mud kitchen is available for children.
The major part of the garden surface is covered with a special material for softer landing. It is obvious that there are also sandpits, slides, swings and sports tools including motorbikes.
Nursery | Bambíno babies 6 weeks – 2 years old
We take care of our littlest Bambíno babies in the nursery so they feel like at home. We know that trust and the sense of security is the most important in this age, therefore there is a small number of children with a higher number of teachers in this group. The environment is adapted to be safe but stimulating and interesting. We select such toys and educational equipment that make fun for the babies and develop their skills and abilities. And since the nursery is located in a villa with a garden, the babies go outdoors to feel the fresh air every day, unless the weather prevents it.

Kindergarten | Bambíno children 3 – 4 years old
There are children from 2 years with a Czech and a native teachers in the kindergarten. The kindergarten Bambíno children try all possible – they create in arts and ceramic workshops, go to the music room, gym and outside, they take sauna in the school facility, cook and bake in the kitchen, go to various excursions and strolls, look after animals and plants, they learn to be independent and respectful to others. With all of that, they still have the necessary spare time for their games and fun.

Pre-preschoolers | Bambíno children 4 – 5 years old
The pre-preschool children are with a Czech teacher and a native speaker. Since the children in this age are gradually preparing for the school, they have also their pre-preschool “preparation”, namely Taiji, logical games and Emotion toys (Emušáci) to provide for the easiest and most natural enrolment to the school. The pre-preschoolers are under logopaedic supervision to identify possible imperfections. The children also create in arts and ceramic workshops, go to the music room, gym and out to the garden, they use an interactive board, take sauna in the school facility, cook and bake in the kitchen, play the flute, go to various excursions and trips, look after animals and plants, while they still have time for their own games and fun.

PRE-PRESCHOOL PREPARATION
Tchaj-t´i
By combination of workout and painting, it develops the graphomotor skills of the pre-preschoolers and prepare them for writing at school. This method uses spontaneous physical movement of the children, cultivates it by exercising with Taiji elements and then it is transferred by water painting into a graphical record. This is how writing becomes a conscious track of movement.
Logical games
Logical games are focused on pre-mathematical skills. Thanks to the games, we get to know and exercise the spatial orientation, geometrical shapes, sight and hearing memory and differentiation, drawing into a network, categorisation, involvement of estimation and anticipation into a judgement, and last but not least also fantasy and time orientation. In the preparation, we consider the connection not only to the classic method of mathematics teaching in primary schools, but also the Hejný’s method.
Emotion toys (Emušáci)
The emotion toys are used in Bambíno for development of emotional and social intelligence. We talk about Freddie the Frog who gets to know and meets emotion flies. Of course, the plush friend and his faithful mates are with us when talking, using stories to easily explain when we can feel anger, anxiety, sadness, envy and other feelings and how to manage them.
Preschoolers | Bambíno children from 5 years old
The preschool children are with a Czech teacher and a native speaker. To arrange a completely smooth and natural transition to school, the preschoolers have a preschool preparation (of course, playful and funny) in addition to the daily educational programme, namely with the Good Start Method, logical games, Zipy’s friends, dramatic education, the World of Words, and Jolly Phonics. The play the flute for correct breathing and body position. In addition to the preparations, they are under logopaedic supervision. During the day, the children naturally create in arts and ceramic workshops garden, go to the music room, gym and out to the garden, they use an interactive board, take sauna in the school facility, cook and bake in the kitchen, go for various excursions and trips, look after animals and plants, while they still have time for their own games and fun.

PRESCHOOL PREPARATION

Jolly Phonics
Jolly Phonics is an internationally recognised method for learning of reading and writing in English. Thanks to movements, songs, stories and pictures, children learn English phones and their correct pronunciation. It still applies that writing and reading in the Czech educational system shall be taught only in primary schools, therefore in Jolly Phonics we focus on the sound of English phones which will later facilitate reading and writing in English.
Good Start Method
The Good Start Method is focused on a development of psychomotorics, activating hearing, sight and motor skills. It is a proved initial stage of learning of reading and writing. We exercise the whole body, arms, hands, correct grip of a pen, and sitting at the table, as well as the left-right orientation and cooperation of the brain hemispheres. We always work with a new graphic sign and we learn how to draw in correctly both in small and large formats. The graphic signs are the cornerstones for the future writing of letters and numbers at school.
The World of Words
The World of Words is ruled by Queen Graphia, who with her helpers manages all sounds, words and, in school, even letters. Her helpers are master Syllabus, master Longitude and the fairy Phonic. Her cheeky friends are Bacillus Mistake and two Phonic Eaters. Together with their friends, everyone solves sound riddles and makes words from sounds, phonics and pictures. Thanks to all this, preschoolers activate their speech readiness, practice auditory perception and differentiation, phonological manipulation, pronunciation, analysis and synthesis of words, and thus comprehensively prepare for reading and writing.
Zipy’s friends
The Zipy’s friends is a methodology focused on the development of strategies for managing difficult life situations and development of social skills. Topically it is focused on emotions, communication, life shifts, relations, prevention of bullying, management of changes and a loss, namely by talking, games, painting activities or drama playing to find own ways of solution of daily troubles. It teaches the children to find an adaptive solution based on two basic criteria – a good solution will help me to feel better and at the same time it will not harm myself or anybody else.
Dramatic education
The dramatic preparatory education in Bambíno is not only a great fun and a space to vent emotions and creative ideas, but also the time when we develop the pre-reading skills, cooperation, individuality, hearing memory, language and expression skills, and musical ear and rhythm. We examine poems, bring stories to life, play in a band and a pantomime, identify ourselves with the role, prepare scenes, play games about something and nothing, and there is always time for applause and feedback.
