“Big things for little people”
Our educational programme is established to teach the children what they will use all life long. The crucial aim is to let the children try as many things as possible on their own, to experience them, to feel them with all their senses, and thus to remember them better. This is why we have topical rooms, facilities and corners. The children may grow plants, look after our animals, cook in the kitchen, make make ceramics, develop their musical skills, do sports outside or in the gym, work with digital education technologies, they also learn how to rest and relax, e.g. in our sauna.
There are always a Czech and an English teachers in groups of children older than two years so the children listen to and use both languages. Thanks to that, the children not only learn these languages, they also build a positive relation to them and they are natural communication tools for them.
We are an international kindergarten where various cultures, languages, habits and knowledges meet. For our children, we prepare a programme that allows them to get to know diversity, multiculturality, respect and inspiration. External experts including parents and relatives are involved in projects.
By combination of workout and painting, it develops the graphomotor skills of the pre-preschoolers and prepare them for writing at school. This method uses spontaneous physical movement of the children, cultivates it by exercising with Taiji elements and then it is transferred by water painting into a graphical record. This is how writing becomes a conscious track of movement.
Logical games are focused on pre-mathematical skills. Thanks to the games, we get to know and exercise the spatial orientation, geometrical shapes, sight and hearing memory and differentiation, drawing into a network, categorisation, involvement of estimation and anticipation into a judgement, and last but not least also fantasy and time orientation. In the preparation, we consider the connection not only to the classic method of mathematics teaching in primary schools, but also the Hejný’s method.
Emotion toys (Emušáci)
The emotion toys are used in Bambíno for development of emotional and social intelligence. We talk about Freddie the Frog who gets to know and meets emotion flies. Of course, the plush friend and his faithful mates are with us when talking, using stories to easily explain when we can feel anger, anxiety, sadness, envy and other feelings and how to manage them.
