The Future of Education Begins Here

AI Initiative

Artificial intelligence is transforming the world we live in. To succeed in this new reality, students must learn to create, think, and collaborate with AI.

That’s why the AI Initiative was created. In a safe environment, students learn to use AI creatively — immediately connecting theory with practice as they work in teams to solve real-world problems using state-of-the-art tools.

The project brings together students from American Academy in Prague, American Academy in Brno, American Academy in Zagreb, Pražské humanitní gymnázium, and Square — including both upper primary and high school students.

The AI Initiative is the most ambitious educational program to date, designed to develop the skills of hundreds of students and teachers and show them how to fully unlock the potential of artificial intelligence.

Key Areas of Development

Creativity

AI as a tool for generating ideas — students learn how to ask the right questions, recognize quality outputs, and build upon them further.

Digital Skills

Students enhance their technological competencies and learn to work with various platforms and applications.

Teamwork

Students practice effective communication, task distribution, and collaborative problem-solving.

Disciplines

Students apply knowledge from a wide range of subjects — from science and humanities to art and technology.

Participation Requirements

For Students

Active involvement in all project phases

Willingness to dedicate time beyond regular lessons

Access to basic technical equipment (a computer or tablet with internet connection)

The project is designed to be manageable and supportive. Each school will have a dedicated coordinator to guide students through every stage.

For Parents

If you work in IT, data analysis, research, or related fields, you can join as a mentor.

Parent-experts are invited to give short talks about their profession and share real-world experience with students.

How the Project Will Work

Theoretical component: Students prepare a research section describing the problem, proposed solution, AI tools used, and ethical aspects.

Practical prototype: Teams demonstrate a functional AI-based solution.

Public presentation: Projects are presented to a jury of experts, peers, parents, and guests.

Project Implementation

Teacher = Guide
 Student = Creator

Role of Teachers

Teachers help students navigate new technologies and guide them toward independent discovery.

Mentor: Supports students in problem-solving
Organizer: Plans timelines and structure
Evaluator: Provides feedback
Industry Expert: Brings real-world context and interdisciplinary connection

Role of Students

Students work in multidisciplinary teams, taking on roles that mirror real professional environments:

Project Manager: Coordinates and organizes the team
Developer/Designer: Programs and designs the prototype
AI Researcher: Explores tools and trends
Communications Lead: Prepares presentations and documentation
Ethics & Impact Analyst: Monitors ethical dimensions of the project
Tester/User Liaison: Tests the prototype
